This retrofit is designed specifically for the following vehicles and head units:

  • Chassis: X253 (SUV) / C253 (Coupe)
  • Years: 2015–2022
  • Head units: NTG5.0 / NTG5.1 (2015–2018) and NTG5.5 (2019–2022)

Not compatible with MBUX (NTG6). If your vehicle has MBUX or is a 2023+ GLC (X254/C254), this unit will not fit.

Check your system/version

Before ordering, please confirm your factory head unit version to ensure perfect compatibility.

  1. On your factory screen, go to Settings > System > Version/Information (wording may vary). Look for NTG5.x identification or software details relating to Audio 20 / COMAND.
  2. Visual cues:
    • NTG5.0 / NTG5.1 (2015–2018): 7–8.4" non-touch display, rotary knob with touchpad COMAND controller, tile-based UI, no “Hey Mercedes”.
    • NTG5.5 (2019–2022): updated graphics, larger screen on some trims (up to 10.25"), retains COMAND-style controller, no “Hey Mercedes”.
    • MBUX / NTG6 (Not compatible): full touchscreen interface, “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant present, different home layout.
  3. If uncertain, send us a photo of your center display’s home screen and the controller, plus your VIN—we’ll verify for you.

  • Retains factory camera; additional camera inputs are supported if you wish to add front/rear cameras.
  • Performance of wireless connectivity can vary with phone model and signal conditions; wired USB is available as a fallback.

Return shipping is your responsibility and restocking fees apply. Custom or vehicle-specific products cannot be returned unless faulty or incorrect.
